Membership and Accounts

Law List is an exclusive, invitation-only platform for attorneys. Membership is granted through:

• Direct invitation from Law List
• Application for consideration with professional review
• Referral from an existing member in good standing

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for Law List membership, you must:

• Be a licensed attorney admitted to practice in at least one U.S. state
• Be in good standing with your state bar association
• Successfully complete our bar verification process
• Provide accurate and truthful professional information
• Maintain professional conduct at all times
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct

Bar Verification

All members must successfully complete bar verification. We verify your license status through state bar association databases. This process is exclusively for professional validation—we do not require or collect confidential client information. Verification must be maintained throughout your membership.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Enterprise-grade security measures protect your data.

ABA Compliance and Professional Ethics

Law List is committed to ABA-compliant marketing practices. All attorneys using the platform agree to:

• Comply with ABA Model Rule 7.1 prohibiting false or misleading communications
• Adhere to state bar advertising and solicitation rules
• Ensure all marketing content is truthful and not deceptive
• Include required disclaimers and disclosures in marketing materials
• Maintain client confidentiality and attorney-client privilege
• Avoid prohibited solicitation methods

You are solely responsible for ensuring your profile and marketing content complies with your jurisdiction's specific advertising rules.

Content Guidelines

When creating content on Law List, you agree to:

• Provide accurate professional information
• Not make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about your qualifications or results
• Respect intellectual property rights
• Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with attorney conduct rules
• Not engage in spam, deceptive practices, or prohibited solicitation
• Review and approve all AI-generated content before publication
• Ensure video introductions and profile content meet professional standards

AI-Powered Features

Use of AI Technology

Law List offers AI-enhanced marketing tools to assist with content creation. By using these features:

• You acknowledge that AI assists but does not replace your professional judgment
• You maintain full editorial control and responsibility for all published content
• You must review and approve all AI-generated materials before use
• You retain ownership of content created using AI tools
• You ensure AI-generated content complies with applicable ethics rules

AI tools are designed to enhance—not replace—your unique voice and expertise while maintaining compliance with ABA advertising standards.

Payment Terms

Membership subscriptions are billed according to your selected plan:

• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month
• Annual subscriptions renew automatically each year
• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Refunds are provided according to our refund policy
• All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes

Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to Law List, including profile text, photos, video introductions, and marketing materials. By posting content, you grant Law List a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Display your content on our platform and in our directory
• Reproduce and distribute your profile to potential clients
• Use your content in marketing materials showcasing our platform (with your consent)
• Create backups and caches for technical purposes

Platform Property

Law List's branding, design, platform technology, AI algorithms, and software remain our exclusive intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any aspect of our platform.

Waitlist and Newsletter

When you join our waitlist or subscribe to our newsletter:

• You consent to receive launch updates and exclusive insights for attorneys
• You consent to marketing communications about Law List services
• You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email
• Waitlist membership does not guarantee platform access
• We will notify waitlist members when invitations become available

Video and Media Content

When uploading video introductions or other media:

• You confirm you own all rights to the media or have obtained necessary permissions
• Videos must maintain professional standards appropriate for legal marketing
• Content must comply with ABA advertising ethics
• We reserve the right to reject media that doesn't meet quality or compliance standards
• You grant us permission to optimize and transcode media for platform delivery

Privacy and Data Protection

Law List is committed to GDPR and CCPA compliance. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

Termination
