All vendors operate as independent contractors, not employees of Law List. This arrangement provides flexibility while maintaining professional standards.
Must provide completed W-9 form before first assignment. We'll issue Form 1099-NEC if you earn $600 or more per calendar year.
Valid business license required in your primary operating area. Requirements vary by state and municipality.
As an independent contractor, you're responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes including self-employment tax.
Proof of insurance must be provided before approval and kept current throughout your partnership.
Minimum $1 million coverage required. Protects against third-party injury claims and property damage.
Coverage for cameras, lenses, lighting, and other professional equipment used in shoots.
Errors & omissions insurance protects against claims of professional negligence or failure to deliver.
Full-frame DSLR or mirrorless (Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc.)
Professional portrait lenses (85mm f/1.4, 70-200mm f/2.8, etc.)
Professional lighting kit with softboxes, reflectors, and modifiers
Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent professional tools
Cinema camera or professional mirrorless with 4K capability
Professional lavalier mics, shotgun mics, and audio recorder
Professional lighting setup, stands, and stabilization equipment
Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent
You have 2 weeks from the shoot date to deliver final edited assets.
Payment processed within 5-10 business days after you deliver final assets via direct deposit.
* For established vendors with proven track records, expedited payment options may be available.
Attorneys receive full commercial usage rights for all delivered content for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes.
You may use delivered work in your professional portfolio with proper credit and attribution.
Law List may use delivered content for marketing the platform, case studies, and promotional materials.
Content may not be resold, licensed to third parties, or used for stock photography/video purposes.
